Office

"Office" map ~ by AccadaccA ~ Feb 24, 2020For MOH Allied Assault, Spearhead & Breakthrough. Credits:========Huge thanks to 1337Smithy for his health script and for always being there with scripting advice or any help when I need.Much appreciated, mate. Since writting the above ol mate Smithy has come through twice with updated alternative health scripts and a ceiling fans toggel on/off script for me.What a legend!!! Huge thanks also go to Zappa for extensively guiding me through an issue with the motorcycle models. What a champ!! Cheers to [TWL}Shadow for giving the map a bit of a test and some feedback. Installation:=============Drop the pk3 file in to your "MOHAA/main" directory. Map Info:================This map is NOT period correct and was never meant to be.Its a modern day take of a fictional office set in Perth, Australia. The map has a couple of functional friges, an ice dispenser, a beer vending machine, photocopiers and functional toilets which all give health so dont forget to give them a try.Healing values are listed below. The water cooler and fire extinguishers all disperse water (func / barrel) when shot but due to there size its not much. When decending the ladder just take a few steps down and let the player drop.Because the ladder is angled on a lean the ladder function cant comprehend if you wish to ascend or decend. Health pickups:===============Ive included health pick-ups to prolong gameplay. Dont worry, its not like God mode, theyre small quantities.Healing is only effective up to 100% health, maximum. You will need to stay within reach of the triggers to gain the health benefit.Ive tried to balance healing quantities with heal time / risk factor. * Urinals regain upto 99% of lost health over time. The longer you stand there the more youll heal.* Beer vending machine should make you invincible, right? lol But no, it gives 10hp.Before anyone emails me, I know the local beer in Perth is/was Swan Larger (now brewed in South Australia).* Vegemite (found in the fridges) gains 5hp. Itll be considered unAustralian of me not to include it. lol* Toilet stalls give 10 - 15hp depending on what you do in them. #1s = +10hp. #2s = +15hp. They alternate from stall to stall.* Photocopiers give 3hp per butt copied. Hubba Hubba. :P* The ice maker gives 1hp per serve. ** Most health pick-ups are intentionally made to only heal each player once, so move around and use other features of the map. Elevators:==========There are three elevators and three sets of stairs spanning between the ground floor garage and first floor.Only one of these elevators and a forth set of stairs, spans between the first and second floors (roof top). The three tier elevator does work as it should (express, skiping the 2nd floor when desired) but its tricky to hit the right triggers.Due to limited space between elevator buttons, Ive made it dependant on distance.Just step forward for the lower button or step back for the upper.A message will appear to indicate which level / floor youre about to trigger. Custom Motorcycles:===================The custom bikes (in four variants & five colours) are the default "BMWbike" model with the sidecar removed and a few other tweaks added. The fifth bike (black) was requested by my son, Jono. The bike that looks totally chrome is in fact a pure white bike (R255, G255, B255). Believe it or not. Custom Toilets:===============I edited the two default toilets into one usuable (opened lid) modern toilet. The flusher is from the modern "toilet_short" model while the seat and bowl are from the older style "toilet-bowl-and-tank" model. With my first attempts, I had both "set_up" & "seat_down" versions of the "toilet_short" model but adding the seat from the other toilet wouldnt light up like the rest of the bowl. Also by rotating the seat vertically (for seat up) exposed a gap between the inner and outer skins of the bowl which also looked like crap.It was also a bit concerning to see every second toilet seat in the up position in the womens toilets. lol Shit happens. The Sky:========The sky texture was created from a single photo of the Perth city skyline.Manually made using PaintShopPro version 5 (released in 1998). lolIts kind of square looking, unfortunately. :/But hey, its a true sky, not a computer generated set of images like the rest. Its not the best but itll do for this indoor map.The stars (fake) including the Southern Cross (photo) were added manually. Update: I was able to lose the square corners look by using PSP 8 deformation filters.

Acca Crossroads

"Acca Crossroads" (revised) by AccadaccA Compatible with: Allied Assault, Spearhead and Breakthrough. Installation:=============Place the "acca_crossroads.pk3" file into your MOHAA/main folder. Credits:========A huge thank you to my mate [TWL]Shadow (Andrew) for compiling the map for me as it wouldnt compile the lighting properly on my system. It took a dude named "Shadow" to compile my maps shadows. lol :p Thanks to Shadow (Brian) for limited beta testing and bug reports prior to the first release of this map. Updates:========It was reported that the original "acca_crossroads" map had a huge flaw in the bridge arches not being solid. There was also a couple of interior wall brushes that required removing and a few requiring trimming.I also made the windows easier to break to be more realistic. My system wouldnt compile it (using "MBuilder"). It went through all of the compiling motions and never gave an error message but the date would change back to the previous bsp date... even when that file was deleted and the map file recompiled. Spooky. lolIt would compile on my other PC but without the lighting/shadows. Major customizations include (but are not limited to):====================================================== * Turned "Crossroads" into actual crossroads in the true sense of the word. * Matched the storm water surface level to the canal surface level. The storm water was approximately a meter lower than the canal. * Continued the storm water tunnel system into the canal. * Created another storm water tunnel system on the other side of the canal. * Added an extra five routes to / from the storm water tunnels. * All but one building has been hollowed. * Extended the length of the house in the allied spawn area (added an extra arch & extra attic window). * Added two moored rowboats that actually sit in the water and not just on top of it. * Made it possible to jump through broken windows. The default "Crossroads" has them all blocked. * Added two huge verandas to the hotel. Each with double access, one at either end. * Transformed the four guest room hotel (with only two acessible rooms) into twelve accessible guest rooms (each one bigger than the default 4) plus Ive added three bathrooms, two toilets, a kitchen, dinning room, a reception area, the managers sleeping quarters, a hotel laundry, hotel workshop / utilities boiler room. All within the original confinements of the default hotel walls, floors and ceilings. The only exception being the utilities / boiler room which is under ground. I hope you enjoy it. :)

The .MAP File is included within the pk3! [notes]There is one thing on this map that Im indecisive about thus far: whether I want the entire map copied and reversed, or just the bunkers. What is on this map is, for the most part, a mere guideline about what the map will have in the end.... youll understand what Im talking about when I get there. Here goes the obnoxious list x_x[/notes]As you can see, everything has been done with normal, 6-sided brushes. Not ideal, though it is VERY surprising that ONLY ONE is missing when you compile and play. Its one of them in the trench.1. I want the stairs leading into the bunkers from the pillboxes replaced with mud that looks like its collapsed into the bunker. I tried this with patch meshes, Ive tried normal brushes, and Ive tried this with LoD terrain. In fact, Ive tried this several different times in several different methods with every version of the map Ive done so far, and none of them have worked anywhere near the way I want them to.2. Around the entire circumference (I cant remember how to spell that) there will be a hilly minefield (hills to block visibility beyound there, and minefields to stop from climbing); not just the little ramp thing I put around the map.3. The ground should be very uneven LoD terrain, with impact craters at the spots with my pitiful attempts at LoD terrain. The long thick brushes of caulk -- oh, that sounded SO wrong... -- are actually just guidelines for how long the path between these pillboxes and ->-> 4. Now for the part that Im indecisive about. After doing all that to what you have from me, I dont know whether or not I want to copy the entire thing, rotate 180 degrees and paste it attached to the end, or just the bunkers.5. Just a little battlefield ambient sound.6. This last one is not entirely necessary. You notice the bells and switches in the bunkers and pillboxes? They should be two seperate alarm systems, for in case someone from the other team invades the trenches. Thats the real challenge in this map, I think; if you feel up to doing it.
