Obj Hms Hood As

A mapfix for this map has been added in the Extra Files on this page! The .MAP file is included within the pk3 file! This level (or these levels there is two hood and hood_as)has been nearly a year in the making not so much because it is so great but I am so very incompetent lol, but we wont labor the point hehe. But yes I made the hull for it about a year ago or more and have been promising to finish it for many months now. So here it is I hope it isn't a great disappointment. The map isn't very frame rate friendly because the q3 engine wasn't meant for this kind of big open complex level, but I did my best by adding all the tricks up my sleeve to make the fps as good as possible without making the ship look like a brick. You will find the usual bunch of ai doing more crazy stuff than ever, on one map (the as one) as allies you can wake up some help that is sleeping in the lower decks. In the hood map you, again as allies can go to the back shed near the crane and get help there too, I will let you find out how. Well that will do for now, I'm sure I missed lots of things I should say but its 1am and I need to sleep. To learn about bots head over to http://www.planetmedal.com/freebrief/mohaa/bots/ and read up on how to use the server side commands to change how many bots, and much more. Also you need jv's jv_bot0 or jv_bot01 to run the bots and for everything to work. Grab those files at the same address. I want too thank many people but I cant remember them all. But Corporal Punishment made the medic for me and Sgt Kia helped me with modeling. Also tltrude and JVmap helped me with this level as well. And Scorpio Midget did help me on many fronts as well, couldn't have done it without all the support. Thanks guys. To see all the features check out the movie soon to come.

Obj Hms Hood

A mapfix for this map has been added in the Extra Files on this page! The .MAP file is included within the pk3 file! Review by: Bjarne BZR H.M.S. Hood This map is a rather accurate re-creation of the famous war ship Hood. There are 2 maps in the package, one where the ship is at sea, and one where it is docked and undergoing repairs. My review is about the docked version (as it contains more stuff). It is a jv_BOT map and it also features some AI characters normally found only in single player maps. The Axis try to put a bomb on a torpedo that is ( strangely enough ) lying on the Hood:s deck - and the Allies are naturally trying to stop them from destroying the wonderful ship. Presentation / Technical The ship is brilliantly modeled but the texturing is very boring... flat, gray and inside flat white, and a wooden floor. OK, a battleship is not a colorful place, but I would have liked some custom textures of some less flat quality. But then again... who cares once the first bullet is fired? The map contains very cool cinematics at the start and the end of the map. The starting cinematics also end in showing the objective, wich is braggable. This map contains an absolute pile of cool things: A crane continually loading and unloading crates to and from the ship, each team has a medic they can run to at their respective spawn areas, a farting Allied soldier, a truckload of Allied AI that you can release on the lowly Axis, custom skinned jv_BOTs... and also... for some strange reason... a game of cards is taking place at the Axis spawn... and they are Axis... ON HOOD! And they dont give a rats as that all hell is breaking loose around them. Playability / Game Flaws First of all: I have not played this map online, as I couldent find a server hosting it. Im getting lag while playing this map locally. The FPS is good, but it feels jeky anyway... I think that the huge amounts of scriped things are to blame. As it is a battleship, I cant really complain that the texturing is bland. Conclusion A really cool map that shows off the talents of its creators scripting and mapping abilities. And technically it is an awsome map, but somehow I feel that more time should have gone into gameplay than fancy scripting. And why, oh why is there not a regular OBJ version (or a DM/TDM for the kids) ? The mapping is really good. Abundance of "cool things" wears off quickly. This level (or these levels there is two hood and hood_as)has been nearly a year in the making not so much because it is so great but I am so very incompetent lol, but we wont labor the point hehe. Dm Rockbound

(Spawns fixed by SantaFighter) Review by: Mj Rockbound This map created by PanTera is a wonderful example to all mappers of how little details go a long way. I loved this map. Why? Read on! Presentation / Technical The textures were fantastic. The transition effects, the grass, the red 'X' on non-accessible doors, as well as general wall textures all came together beautifully to create a wonderful ambience. Everything was as I would expect from a real place. Can't help but give top marks for the top quality, well used textures. Oh, and that circling bird was a nice touch! The architecture in itself was nothing to scream about, but laid out as it is; everything fitted right in. Although nothing really caught my eye, with the exception of a few things like the wind-tower, my eye did not need to be caught. Nothing stood out, therefore everything fitted right in. Some nice effects however, indoors some nice sloped walls/roofs, a nice firing-slit at the Allied end of the map, great use of rusty railings, lovely ladders... you get the idea! Although few standing out features, who needs them when you have a map this natural looking? Good marks for this. The lighting, this map being in full, harsh daylight, was not really applicable; apart from indoors. A high ambientlight was used, but this is forgiven as this fits in nicely with the effect this map creates. All sources of light have a nicely wired up lamp - all that wiring must have taken a while; and this adds beautifully to 'the effect'. Although lighting is sort-of a null issue in this map, if this map's suncolor and ambientlight values were dropped into night-time, this map would still look great, even with just the existing lights. Good marks! The sounds were wonderful. The wind, the creaking of the wind-tower, the occasional crickets, all went great into this map. Nothing to detract from ones 'listening hard for the enemy', but enough as to add well to the aforementioned 'effect'. The theme was wonderful. The map had a theme, and it was rigidly adhered to all the way through this map. Each little detail added that little bit more. The map was ended off wonderfully too, with gates offering a little 'view' of the outside world, as well as rocks cutting off view. The FPS rates are high, the detail rates are high; the effect is wonderful... Playability / Game Flaws I did play this map for a little while, but unfortunately my playing experiences were limited. Each team had their own routes, hiding spots, and gameplay flowed wonderfully. Although quite large, this map is still very playable for anywhere down to six people. A well thought out design is evident; and it certainly pays its dividends. Conclusion A highly playable, fully natural masterpiece. "Should I download it?" Of course! Grab the Pk3, load your Thompson and go beat some nazis. Alternatively, grab the Pk3, Get on your sunglasses and bring a camera to enjoy the sights of this map! Great Job PanTera!

obj_*

Objective Mode (OBJ)

The pinnacle of competitive MOHAA. Allies attempt to plant explosives, steal secret radar documents, or sabotage infrastructure while the Axis defends. Famous stock examples include V2 Rocket Facility (obj_team2), Omaha Beach (obj_team1), and The Hunt (obj_team4).

Round-based • Search & Destroy
mohdm_*

Deathmatch & TDM

Fast-paced arena combat with instant respawns and tactical weapon placements. Iconic maps like Stalingrad (mohdm6), Southern France (mohdm1), and Remagen (mohdm7) offer multi-level verticality, sniper towers, and close-quarters infantry corridors.

FFA • Team Deathmatch
ft_*

Freeze Tag (FT)

One of the most beloved multiplayer mod modes in MOHAA history. When a soldier is eliminated, they turn into a frozen ice block. Teammates must stand nearby to thaw and revive them. The round is won when an entire opposing team is frozen simultaneously.

Community Mod • Team Revives

Round-Based Elimination

Pure clan warfare without respawns or bomb objectives. Each player has only one life per round, making tactical corner-peeking, smoke grenades, callouts, and sound discipline vital. Widely played in European leagues like ClanBase, CAL, and ESL.
